Alaskan Bush People has been off the air for over two years now. While many fans still have hope it could one day return, the chances get slimmer every year. However, many fans are still discovering the Brown family and want to know more about them. One of the new fans asked about Ami Brown and her delivering the babies in the bush.

Here is what fans had to say about the idea of Ami delivering her kids in the Alaskan wild.

Did Ami Brown Give Birth In The Alaskan Bush People Wilderness?

A fan who just discovered the Alaskan Bush People had some questions about the family. Redditor @pingpoingofdeath started a new thread and asked, “There’s no way the ami gave birth to kids in the woods, but they’re trying to act like they gotta take the Oregon train to get to the nearest doctor. New watcher. Tried googling it but just I keep articles about Bear’s new kid.”

This brought out the ABP fans, most of who know that a lot of what happens on the show is staged. One fan said that when most of the kids were born, they were not as involved in the “bush living” as they were when they got their television deals. Still, others said they heard some of the kids talk about it on the show in later seasons.

  • “I don’t believe they had fully committed to the grifting life back then. Pretty sure they’ve lived in various towns more than the bush or off grid.”
  • “snow said something in like season 8 about her going to midwives”
  • “She definitely didn’t give birth in the bush with no help. They’re not skilled or knowledgeable enough to not get seriously ill after giving birth with no help.”

There were also plenty of fans who made jokes about this. One said that Bear cut the babies out with his “KNOIFE,” while others said that they go to a doctor that Discovery pays to pretend that he takes payment in “fish in a bucket.”

Is Alaskan Bush People Returning?

While Alaskan Bush People has been off television for over two years, it could be revived. The first two seasons are now available on Netflix, and the ratings there could determine its future.

Bear Brown claims he and his brother Gabe are moving their families back to the Alaskan bush. They both have young children and said they will find a way to get there and figure out where to live. If the Netflix ratings are good enough, Discovery might be interested in telling Bear and Gabe’s story.

  1. Before they got a show, I’m pretty sure 2001 or 2002 around Christmas my then girlfriend and I were delivering for toys for tots. We met with the Brown family at city float in Ketchikan Alaska to deliver gifts to what we were told was a large family on a boat. The vessel we encountered could fairly be described as an aquatic version of the Beverly Hillbillies transport. I talked with the patriarch and was amazed to hear the breadth of travels this family had undertaken in a vessel I would be afraid to untie from the dock. My then girlfriend, later wife went on board and visited with the family and we concluded our visit.
The thought that I never heard the bilge pump stop in 20 minutes has always stayed with me
years later after the show and fame.
Ya. The Brown family was legitimately off grid and independent of most aspects of social conformity long before you all ever heard of them.
