‘WoF’ Vanna White Shares ‘Sweet’ Gift With Ryan Seacrest
Since becoming the new host of Wheel of Fortune, Ryan Seacrest now works alongside Vanna White. Recently, Seacrest gave a hint as to what White is really like behind-the-scenes. In particular, he shared that the long-running letter-turner even gave her recent co-host a special gift.
Ryan Seacrest Was Looking Back At 2024 As It Came To An End
Seacrest joined Wheel of Fortune back in September 2024, taking over for former host Pat Sajak. White, meanwhile, has been part of the game show since 1982.
However, Wheel of Fortune is just one of the various hosting duties Seacrest has had over the years. One he still continues to this day is hosting Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve special. Seacrest first became part of the annual special in 2005, becoming its sole host in 2012.
Speaking with People, Seacrest looked back over the past year ahead of his New Year’s duties. As he mentioned, one of his most notable moments in 2024 was becoming part of Wheel of Fortune.
Seacrest also touched on what it was like meeting, and subsequently working with, Vanna White. As he described her, “She’s so super generous and sweet and kind.”
This Isn’t The First Time Seacrest Has Praised Vanna White
Seacrest also shared a “kind” gesture from White. He shared, “She even brought me — because I was saying, I drink very strong black coffee and my teeth, sometimes you can see it — she brought me white strips. She brought me white strips. She went to the store the next day. She brought me white strips.”
As the new Wheel of Fortune host noted, “She is an institution, an icon.” He also assured White is as charming in real life as she is on the show. Calling her “amazing,” Seacrest noted that White is “everything you think Vanna White will be when you meet her!”
This isn’t the first time Seacrest has praised White. Speaking earlier this past year with People, Seacrest shared, “I can’t imagine Wheel of Fortune without Vanna White. It doesn’t seem right, especially if there’s going to be a new host.” He also noted that they had “a magical time together.”
The publication also noted the speech Seacrest shared with the live audience during his first Wheel of Fortune show. As it shared, “I’ve been a fan of this show since I was a kid, watching in Atlanta with my family, and I know how special it is that Wheel has been in your living rooms for the past 40 years.”
