‘The View’ Remains On Extended Break, When Will It Return?
The View is on hiatus right now thanks to the holidays. However, it sounds like the show will be off a little longer than some fans might have expected. Most shows are on break right now. Scripted shows are always on a midseason break that lasts up to two months. Reality TV and talk shows also take breaks and it is often much shorter.
Here is a look at when the ladies will be back on TV for more debates and guests.
When Will The View Be Back In 2025?
The View has gone on hiatus thanks to the holiday season, with the ladies going on a much-deserved vacation during the Christmas and New Year’s holidays. The good news is that there are reruns on so fans can catch up with episodes they might have missed. However, many fans want nothing more than new episodes to dive into.
However, with New Year’s Day coming in the middle of the week, the show won’t be coming back immediately after the holiday. Instead, the popular daytime talk show will be back on January 6, 2025 (via 1iota.com). That is the site that sells tickets to talk shows like The View and Live with Kelly & Mark. That confirms the release date since it is selling tickets for that live episode.
This means that fans have been stuck with watching nothing but reruns during Christmas week and New Year’s week. However, the break from live shows gives the ladies who host the talk show a nice break so they can spend it with their families. However, not all the women are using the break to rest. Whoopi Goldberg is keeping very busy.
What Is Whoopi Goldberg Doing During The View Holiday Break?
Whoopi Goldberg is working all the way through her break from The View. However, she is doing something very different. Whoopi is stretching her acting and singing muscles with a small stint on Broadway.
Whoopi Goldberg signed on to play the villain role of Miss Hannigan in Annie. She is only starring as Miss Hannigan for a short number of shows, and there will be a different actress after she returns to work on The View. Whoopi will star in Annie from December 11 to January 5.
Her final appearance in the Broadway musical will be the night before The View returns to the air live following the holiday break. However, there are still questions about what will happen to Whoopi, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, and others. There are rumors that executives are thinking of shaking up the show next season.
