‘My 600-Lb. Life’ Dr. Now Death Hoax Trending
A death hoax revolving around My 600-Lb. Life star, Dr. Younan Nowzaradan aka Dr. Now, has been circulating the Internet. There was no warning that he had been sick or that something was wrong with him. So, where did these rumors stem from and what are people saying? Keep reading for more details.

Dr. Now has made a name for himself as someone who does not hold back when he treats patients. He has been a staple on My 600-Lb. Life and branched out to other shows. They tend to be variations of the hit TLC reality series but all in the same genre. Although not all of Dr. Now’s patients leave the way that he would have hoped, the updates can be amazing. Years can go by and those who once appeared on the show will have these shocking follow-ups.
They will be thriving in their lives, virtually unrecognizable and it is beautiful to see. Yes, Dr. Now’s bedside manner is harsh but he sees patients who he knows need tough love. If they do not get that, they could very well die and that is the last thing that he would want. However, has that been the fate of the beloved and transformative doctor? All over social media, it is being shared that Dr. Now died on Saturday, December 28th.

Obviously, TLC fans were taken aback by this news as they had no idea if it was true or false. More so, they wanted to ensure that he was okay. One glimpse at his Instagram and it does not appear that anything is alarming. Though the My 600-Lb. Life star has not posted since December 19th, no one has shared anything regarding his passing. Fans even called out the posters for spreading false information and perpetrating a death hoax.
Nothing But Lies
After seeing this posting about Dr. Now, My 600-Lb. Life fans were livid with this false information. They could not believe anyone would spread a lie like this and called out the page immediately:
- Lies he is still alive why spread false articles
- And this is why I fact check everything
- He’s not dead. Look it up
- Does this page spread false news? This is a lie
- This is totally fake. He did not die. Find another hobby than spreading vicious lies
So, it is clear he is alive and well. Therefore, if you stumble across this rumor, head to his personal pages and do not believe this nonsense.
