Tia Mowry Talks ‘Challenging’ and ‘Lonely’ Co-Parenting At Christmas
Tia Mowry has made it clear how hard she has it during Christmas when co-parenting kids during the holidays. On Monday, she talked about Christmas in a series of Instagram photos she shared with her kids, Cairo, 6, and Cree, 13. She shares both kids with her ex-husband, Cory Hardrict.
Tia and her two kids wore matching red plaid pajamas and smiled for the photos. It was a nice photograph of them for Christmas, although it was posted the day before Christmas Eve. She also said that the holidays is a “journey” for her and her family.
“Co-parenting during the holidays is a journey—one that’s filled with a mix of emotions. It’s different, and yes, it can feel challenging and even lonely at times, especially when you’re adjusting to a new family dynamic,” Tia wrote. “But over time, I’ve found the beauty in it. It’s an opportunity for my kids to build meaningful relationships with both parents, and for me, it creates space for self-discovery, healing, and rejuvenation.”
She went on to say that she feels the weight of being a single mom because their family doesn’t look like others. However, she said that is okay because that does not make them less than. They are keeping traditions alive for the kids because “we are still family.”
She then sent a message to anyone co-parenting: They are not alone. There is still joy in the transitions, and it is all about “special moments for our kids.”
Tia Mowry All About Creating Memories With Her Kids
