Robyn Brown Admits She Wanted Wives To Work & Their Money
Sister Wives star, Robyn Brown wants fans to see her as someone who is loving, caring, and completely misunderstood through the years. In the current season, Kody has been reiterating that his beautiful monogamous wife is shy, sweet, and kind. Whether he is reminding himself or trying to convince the audience, many people don’t see it that way. Many people see her as selfish and conniving. Fans catch that Robyn admits she wanted Meri, Janelle, and Christine Brown to work harder and bring in more money for her.
Robyn Brown Needs Her Sister Wives
In Sister Wives Season 19, Meri Brown is starting to question if Robyn Brown has her best interest at heart. But fans have seen for years that Robyn wants what is best for herself more than she wants to connect with her sister wives. Seemingly, Robyn wanted Kody, but she needed Meri, Janelle, and Christine to stick around and comply.
Meri Feels Dejected
On Reddit, Sister Wives fans discuss how Robyn Brown wanted to get the benefit of everyone working. First, a user says, “The clip proves like my other I shared – Meri was milked for money sadly….” Correspondingly, they add a clip from when Meri went to the family to request funds for a downpayment on the bed and breakfast. But, the situation got tense. Meri Brown quietly says, “You can’t control my business and my house.” Everyone says they don’t want to control it, they want to “help.” Then, Kody explains, “Equity partners aren’t about control. They are about profit. We want money.”
However, Meri is sick to her stomach. She says, “You want me to do all the work and you get the money for it.” But Robyn explains, “Yes, that’s what we all do.” Meri asserts, “I don’t see Sister Wives Closet money.” Robyn assures, “It helped for taxes last year.”
Robyn Brown Admits She Wanted Wives To Work And Give Her Their Money
Then, the Redditor continues, “I shared a clip earlier today of Robyn pestering Meri to give up returning to at-risk youth work, which was important to her, for continuing the Sister Wives Closet business – which made a ton of money those first few years. It wasn’t just Robyn though, Janelle & Christine both wanted Meri to do all the work as well because it was profitable and brought in a ton of money in its early stages.” While My Sister Wives Closet being profitable is debatable, the user made points about Robyn needing Meri, Janelle, Christine, and Kody on board to make the family money.
The user continues, explaining Meri Brown didn’t fall in line with Kody and Robyn Brown’s plan. They say, “Meri didn’t like how they were trying to control her business (she said in another clip they kept wanting her to do more & more), and they rarely helped using the excuse they had kids.” Furthermore, the Redditor points out, “Poor Meri received no love or respect, but was the breadwinner that would have kept the family alive if the show was ever cancelled.”
She Wanted Meri, Janelle, And Christine As Work Horses
After the initial post, several other Sister Wives fans added their thoughts about Robyn Brown selfishly wanting Meri, Janelle, and Christine Brown to do the work while she enjoys the profits. But more than that, fans recognize the priority on money took away from their life potential in the process.
- Someone else adds, “She was DIABOLICALLY stealing Meri’s future (a possibility of actual happiness) because Meri’s a very hard worker, which is why she’s a successful businesswoman.” Additionally, saying, “She wanted good peasants to earn her money to buy her ugly fake art.“
- One fan grabs onto a surprising comment in the clip, “‘Who else sees MSWC money?’ 😳 that’s a nugget I never caught before.”
- But another commenter suspects Robyn was right in the clip that MSWC did help with taxes. They say, “‘It helped with taxes’ totally means that they deducted the loss. She basically just said the business loses money.”
- “In this clip, Meri is saying they expect her to do all the work at the B & B and expect her to share the profit and allow them to be equitable partners which she does not want. She wound up getting the money on her own and they owned zero percentage of the B & B. Thank goodness!!”
All About The Money
At the time, Meri Brown wanted her husband and sister wives to invest in the bed and breakfast that was very important to her because of the history of the family property. Likewise, she planned for her mom, Bonnie, to live on the property. But the family didn’t see it as a good investment unless Bonnie ran the business and made it profitable.
- “I’ve watched this show since day one and rewatched most [episodes.] Meri is a go-getter for sure. She has made most of her money from Lula [Roe] and the show and probably does have more $$ than the rest of them, individually. R & K share their TLC money so I just assume they have more combined. Plus Kody had control of the budget for the years they were all married. You have to figure he was more generous with Robyn than the others.”
- Another viewer adds, “It drove me crazy how Robyn essentially forced everyone to be involved in MSWC. I get that they wanted to support her thing. But she made them be involved, put their retirement in the business, and waste time at the expo shows or whatever. Even when Meri decided she wanted to go back to school & had a talk with Robyn because she couldn’t be as involved. Robyn acted like she was leaving the family and cutting her off.”
The clip proves like my other I shared – Meri was milked for money sadly….
