Live with Kelly and Mark recently shared an episode just in time for the holidays. However, the recent show makes an end of an era for the two co-hosts. During the moment, Kelly and Mark also shared their own family moments with viewers.

Kelly & Mark Could Be Seen Walking In A Winter Wonderland

The talk show started as Live! with Regis and Kelly, with Kelly Ripa taking over Kathie Lee Gifford’s co-hosting duties in the 2000s. Subsequently, Kelly was joined by other co-hosts, including Michael Strahan and Ryan Seacrest.

In 2023, Live took on its more modern incarnation when Ripa’s husband Mark Consuelos joined as a regular co-host. Beforehand, Mark had served as a regular guest host.

However, the talk show is undergoing another big change. Since its 1983 inception, the series was taped on the Upper West Side. As noted by Hello! Magazine, production will now move to a “fancy state-of-the-art” new home in SoHo, Manhattan. The move comes out as Kelly and Mark are about to conclude their second year co-hosting together.

On December 23, the series aired a pre-taped Christmas skit. Kelly and Mark could be seen walking through a now-laden New York, while looking back to past episodes.

The two hosts also shared videos of their children, Michael, Lola, and Joaquin. As Kelly noted, “It looks like this walk to work is turning into a stroll down memory lane.”

Kelly continued that, “Look! Some of our past holiday shows together. The kids, they were so tiny!” Mark shared, “And all the times Santa came to visit. This is incredible!”

The Entire Set, Even The Audience, Was Given A Holiday Makeover

Throughout the years, the couple’s children also appeared on the show. They’ve appeared as guests and even helpers for cooking segments. As the publication noted, the couple’s “kids grew up before the world on the sets of the talk show.”

A clip of the segment was also released on the series’ official Instagram account. As the caption shared, “A Miracle on 67th Street. Our last Holiday Show on 67th street.”

After the segment, the special cut back to the studio, which was decorated for the holidays. This included a virtual snow-covered background, a virtual fireplace, and even a sofa taking the place of the hosts’ chairs. Even members of the audience appeared in their holiday apparel.

Cutting back to the hosts, Kelly noted the end of an era: “This is, allegedly, as you know, our last holiday show from our studio home in this very building on 67th street.” Mark added, “It’s a miracle! It has been broadcasting from here for more than 40 years.”
