On Patrol: Live Richland K9 Officer Killed
Richland County Sheriff’s Department is very popular with On Patrol: Live viewers. Captain Danny Brown is a fan favorite so when he has gone missing, there are a lot of questions. When he finally returned, everyone was elated and so thrilled to see him on their screens again. He has a kind heart and loves to have a good time so that makes for a more human and down-to-earth officer. Along with Master Deputy Bryce Hughes, they ensure that the law is enforced but a good time is had. Unfortunately, when tragedy strikes these departments, everyone feels it. The fans come together and want to offer whatever support they can.
According to the Richland County Twitter/X, a K9 officer was shot and killed on Monday, December 23rd. It was actually K9 Bumi who is a sweet pooch, doing his job but even dogs in this line are classified as officers. There was a stolen vehicle and officers attempted to stop it but failed. Therefore, they embarked on a chase. Stop sticks were used and the car crashed. Those in the car were between the ages of 16 and 19 with a 16-year-old being arrested. Sadly, five gunshots rang out, three striking K9 Bumi and he was pronounced dead at the vet.

Sheriff Leon Lott said the suspects are on the loose but they will be found. On Patrol: Live fans read the news and were livid that this happened. K9 Bumi is the third pooch to die from Richland and it never gets easier. They were just doing their job and the bullets got under their vest. So, it was not a matter of safety but rather a horrible and unfortunate situation.
Angry & Infuriated Fans
After hearing what happened to K9 Bumi, On Patrol: Live viewers were infuriated by the news. They could not believe anyone could do something so horrific and that they were still on the loose:
- This is beyond infuriating. It makes me so sad and so angry. These kids are fecking a**holes with zero regard for anyone or anything.
- Absolute human trash.
- Punk-a** kids with guns, they think they’re bad a**, but they’re just punks. These kids have a hard, hard life ahead of them, as long as it lasts.
- I have raised Belgian Malinois dogs for the better part of 20 years. I can not express how angry this makes me. Please find these POS teens and deal with them appropriately!
Hopefully, justice is served because this is a horribly tragic story and never should have happened. Rest in puppy paradise, K9 Bumi.
