‘AGT’ Group’s Holiday Drone Show Ends In Injuries
A holiday drone show had to cancel its second performance after multiple people were injured during the first show. Many involved shared their account of what happened on social media. Notably, the drone show is connected to a group that performed on America’s Got Talent.
A Few Spectators Shared Videos Of The Show On Social Media
The holiday-themed drone show took place on December 21 in Lake Eola Park, Florida. Starting at 6:30 PM, spectators claimed that drone started to fall from the sky.
One person in attendance shared a video on TikTok showing a drone flying towards spectators. Someone could notably be heard calling out, “Watch out, watch out!” It was also claimed in the comments that “multiple injuries” occurred.
Another video was shared by the MosquitoCoFL Podcast. As the caption noted, “So apparently they had to cancel the 2nd drone show at #LakeEolaPark tonight and I wonder if the drones that got knocked out during the 1st show was the cause.” As seen in the video, a few dozen drones crashed into each other and soon fell from the sky.
According to News 6, the Orlando Fire Department confirmed at least one person endured a minor injury from the incident and had to be hospitalized. However, when the outlet asked for confirmation if the injuries were connected, the fire department said to reserve questions for the Federal Aviation Administration. The holiday drone show, which lasted fifteen minutes, continued after the incident.
As People noted, one woman, Jessica Lumedge, claimed her son was “fighting for his life in ER” following “drones [hitting] him in the face.” As she shared on Facebook, “Pray for my son, we went to the Drone show at Lake Eola and one of the drones hit him in the face.” This was not the only similar story shared on Facebook.
The Drone Group Performed On America’s Got Talent‘s 19th Season
According to the publication, another woman, Adriana Edgerton, similarly shared that her son had also similarly been injured. As she noted, “I have never been so scared.”

Andrea Otero, the City of Orlando Public Information Manager, also released a statement to People. As was shared, “We are in contact with the vendor to determine what occurred with the operation. FAA is handling the investigation.”
According to People, the holiday drone show appeared to be connected to the Sky Elements drone group. The group notably competed on season 19 of America’s Got Talent.
The group ultimately finished the competition series in third place. Notably, they were the first drone group to make it to the series’ live shows.
