Williams’ outing was notable as it recently came to light that she was suffering from dementia. As noted by TMZ, this story came out due to the legal battle concerning the documentary, Where Is Wendy Williams?, and the star’s guardian, Sabrina Morrissey.

Williams Was Also Recently Seen In An Outing With Her Nephew

The publication also noted that Williams was photographed earlier this month, smiling from an SUV. At the time, she was getting an order from Sista Sara’s Sho’nuff Oysters in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

A video of the outing was recorded by blogger Antoine Edwards. He also claimed that the star was joined by her nephew, Travis Finnie. Beforehand, she had been previously spotted shopping in New Jersey the previous August.

As TMZ noted, Morrissey filed a lawsuit back in February to stop the documentary’s release. In spite of the legal battle, the documentary aired on Lifetime. As previously reported, the guardian claimed the battle with dementia left the star “permanently incapacitated.”

From 2008 to 2021 Williams was known for hosting her own namesake talk show, The Wendy Williams Show. Beforehand, she served as a radio DJ and host. She was also the subject of the 2006 reality series The Wendy Williams Experience.

Williams had been diagnosed with aphasia and dementia back in May of 2023. The star had been placed under her legal guardianship the year beforehand in order to manage her health and finances. As previously reported, fans had been hoping for the star to return to her talk show, The Wendy Williams Show, although the news of her health concerns makes this unlikely.
