Pop singer and reality TV personality Jessica Simpson is set to launch her musical comeback. However, fans especially took note of a promotional photo taken in honor of her return. In fact, some fans said they didn’t recognize her.

Jessica Simpson Took To Instagram To Tease Her Musical Comeback

As a singer, Simpson is known for songs like “I Wanna Love You Forever,” “I Think I’m in Love with You,” “With You,” and her covers of “Take My Breath Away” and “These Boots Are Made for Walkin.'” She also became known for appearing on the MTV reality series Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica, which profiled her marriage with then-husband Nick Lachey.

Simpson was married to singer and 98 Degrees bandmember Nick Lachey from 2002 to 2006. In 2014, she married former professional football player Eric Johnson.

Simpson recently shared a few posts on Instagram announcing her plans for a music comeback. In one recent photo, she could be seen striking a pose while sitting down in the studio.

In the post, as noted by The U.S. Sun, Simpson could be seen wearing a white top and skirt, a black blazer, a fishnet body underneath the outfit, and a pair of heeled cowboy boots. As the star shared in the caption, “I can’t wait for y’all to hear the soundtrack of my soul.”

Simpson Previously Talked About How Her Comeback Was ‘Personal’

However, many fans shared that they could barely recognize the star with her new look. As one fan wrote, “I don’t even recognize this person.”

Another shared, “Would have never known this is Jessica Simpson.” Some fans compared her new look to other stars, such as Paris Hilton, Ivanka Trump, or one of the Kardashian sisters.

That said, many of the fans shared words of support to the star. As one wrote, “She seems healthy, happy, and free so maybe y’all should just applaud her for living authentically and keep it moving.”

Simpson previously teased her musical comeback in an earlier Instagram post. Once again, she shared photos of herself posing in a chair. The star also notably wore a similar outfit, with a white dress and a furry black coat.

In the post, Simpson wrote, “Interviews in my Nashville music room where I unearthed my singular magic. This comeback is personal, it’s an apology to myself for putting up with everything I did not deserve.”
