‘Today’ Hoda Kotb & Jenna Admit They ‘Can’t Help’ But Cry
The Today Show hosts, Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager have taken each other in as good friends and colleagues. Both love to laugh and get down to the truth about social dilemmas and even challenge the accepted social norms at times. Admittedly, they are struggling right now during a “tough time” and “can’t help” but cry on air.
Hoda Kotb And Jenna Bush Hager Like To Keep It Light
Undoubtedly, Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager have gotten very close during their five years working on Hoda & Jenna together. Although it is the “most wonderful time of the year” the co-hosts are finding it difficult to be cheery all the time. Both authentically admit they have moments when they duck into their minivans and hide from their kids. Additionally, they acknowledge that there are just times that “Mama’s Done.” But when actress Zosie Mamet shared words about her best friend, Kaley Cuoco, the ladies lost it.
Moved To Tears
When Zosie Mamet describes her relationship with Kaley Cuoco, both Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager are touched. Zosie says, “I think it’s really special when you find someone who can make you laugh.” Zosie, 36, mentions her bond with Kaley, 39, during the Friday, December 13, appearance. She continues, “No matter what, no matter what we’re going through, no matter what the day brings, no matter if we’re working a 16-hour day, 18-hour day, we just always make each other laugh. It’s really great.” Furthermore, she adds, “It’s the best, it’s the best. When you get to work with your best friend, what could be better?”

However, the sweet sentiment that Zosie openly shared about Kaley hit Jenna Bush Hager and Hoda Kotb hard. Seemingly, Zosie sees the impact her statements made on the hosts and feels bad as they both tear up. Zosie reaches her hands out trying to comfort them, “Oh my God, oh no.” Jenna admits, “I’m crying because she and I laugh together and she’s leaving. Oh my God, everything is… we’re really in a tough place.” Hoda knows her exit from The Today Show is bittersweet. She will be leaving next month on January 10, 2025. Sadly, they both struggle through the episodes as Hoda’s departure nears from their fun segment. Hoda expresses, “We can’t help it.”
More Tears Predicted
While Jenna Bush Hager has stated how she really feels about Hoda Kotb leaving, the tears come in waves. In many ways, she is broken by her friend and co-host’s exit. But the ladies, try as they might, continue to have tears spill out while they are on air. Seemingly, it is the stages of grief that they are going through with this huge change in their lives. Although they will remain friends even after Hoda takes on her new journey, they know they will miss their daily interactions with each other. Unmistakably, many people know that any job can be awesome if you have the right co-worker by your side. For now, they are taking each day and accepting that there will be more crying as they get closer to the end of their segment, Hoda & Jenna.
