Ariana Madix To Blame For VPR Cancellation?
Vanderpump Rules was just a few episodes into Season 10 when the ‘Scandoval’ bomb was dropped. It was March 2023 so the season had wrapped in September of the previous year. Yet, it was the shock heard around the world and it felt like everyone was on Ariana Madix’s side. She was blindsided by the affair her boyfriend of nearly a decade, Tom Sandoval was having with her best friend, Rachel Leviss. He and Rachel were made out to be villains with the latter entering a mental health facility. Ariana capitalized on her pain and landed endorsement deals, film projects, and a spot on DWTS.
She also headed to Broadway, had a new man, and became the host of her favorite reality show, Love Island. She still had to keep up with Season 11 of Vanderpump Rules while living with her ex, Sandoval which was immensely difficult. By the season finale, Ariana reached her limit and left the finale party early. Co-star, Lala Kent felt she did not give enough of herself during the season. At the reunion, she told Ariana she was taking food out of her child’s mouth. Though the show was renewed, it was put on an indefinite hiatus.

Many did not think Ariana Madix would be back as she was too busy. There were then rumors that contract negotiations were holding things up before the reboot was announced. Now, fans are questioning via a Reddit thread if Ariana is the reason the OG show ended. The OP asked this:
- So Ariana was the reason Vanderpump was cancelled? Is it true Ariana demanding a huge salary raise or she would quit (I heard one million but that might be wrong), is the reason they decided to cut the show?

Ultimately, this is just a rumor and it was not Ariana Madix’s fault Vanderpump Rules got a complete reboot. They had not even reached contract negotiations when the announcement was made they had been let go. Katie Maloney confirmed this after it was alleged the cast was demanding an excessive amount of money. Followers further acknowledged this:
- No it’s not true. None of them had even gotten to contract negotiations this rumor has already been debunked.
- Andy talked about it on his radio show and praised production for making a story for so many years after the cast was no longer working at the restaurants.
It was also noted that Katie shared she was not coming back for another season regardless. She had talked to production and said she was done. Therefore, followers believed Ariana would likely follow suit. It had gotten hard with no one working at SUR and the cast drifting apart. So, that is likely why the reboot happened.

Yes in that she wouldn’t film anyone. Katie is lying, she had plenty of time to say this – wouldn’t have been an issue with anything. She said it because she can’t stand not being the one who quit, she’s not admit to being fired.
This is BS. Lisa Vanderpump always minimizing, distracting from or outright covering for the immature, toxic men on the show; along with production trying to force Ariana to forgive Tom without ever holding him accountable for his disgusting behavior; and finally, all of them trying to force viewers into this alternate reality. We would have appreciated seeing the real processing of this mess without all of the disregard and disrespect for Arian just trying to keep her peace and emotional distance. Those are the reasons for the reboot. Lisa and her crew of merry, maniacal, minions missed their mark!
Arianna Madax has milked every single thing she could after simply being cheated on. Like everyone says, “you lose them how you get them”. I have been so fed up with her and her behavior during the last season that I couldn’t even watch the current season of Love Island. I’m just sick of her being everywhere over a cheating scandal when that was her introduction to the show. Maybe it’s one of those “do as I say not as I do” situations?
