‘Alaskan Bush People’ Gabe Brown Goes Under The Knife
Noah Brown, of Alaskan Bush People fame, recently shared an update concerning his brother Gabe in a video on Instagram. As seen in the video, Gave was getting ready to undergo surgery. Fans of the brothers took to the comments to share their support.
Gabe Brown Admitted Preparing For Surgery Was ‘Not A Lot Of Fun’
Fans came to know the members of the Brown family, including brothers Gabriel Starbuck Brown and Noah Darkcloud Brown, on Alaskan Bush People. The series, which originally aired from 2014 to 2022, followed the family as they tried to live off the grid around Hoonah, Alaska. Gabe and Noah are some of the family’s younger sons, being born in 1989 and 1992, respectively.
Noah opened up the Instagram video by noting, “Okay, Gabe, you had an update for everyone.” He then asked his brother about his hand.
Gabe then revealed that he’s about to undergo surgery. Noah then asked him which finger was “busted?”
Gabe then began to explain that he was currently in pre op. As he noted, the preparation, specifically getting the “IV and stuff” was “not a lot of fun.”
“They’re going to take me back there in a little bit. Fix my finger up. So, it should all be over before too long.”
Noah then commented that the surgery would last around an hour and a half. Gabe then mused it could last around “two hours.”
Gabe shared the hope “that it all goes well.” He also was anticipating starting “the road to recovery.”
Alaskan Bush People Fans Shared Their Support & Prayers In The Comments
“That is the thing I’m looking forward to because this finger has been bothering me for quite a bit. You know, so, it would be nice to get it fixed.”
Per Noah’s request, Gabe then lifted up his finger to give fans a view of his injury. Gabe noted he “can’t really bend it.” This prompted Noah to remind his brother not to “try to bend it” and risk further injury.

That said, Gabe commented that he felt he was in “really good hands.” He commented on how “super nice” and “knowledgeable” the staff came off.
Noah then ended the video telling his brother to rest up and that he would check on him in a bit. He then signed off wishing Gabe “good luck.”
Many fans of the brothers, many of whom watched them on Alaskan Bush People, shared their support in the comments. As one fan wrote, “Love how y’all support each other.” Another shared, “God bless Gabe….praying for your health.”
