Scott Bagwill is the newest cast member on TLC’s 1000-Lb Best Friends. He may be the only male member of the friend group, but he knows exactly what it feels like to struggle with weight-related issues.

Last week, he revealed to the other cast members that Dr. Procter approved him for bariatric surgery. Now, fans are curious to see how well Scott has been sticking to his healthier habits.

Check out a new interview to get the scoop.

Scott Bagwill Struggled With Specific Food Triggers

As 1000-Lb Best Friends viewers know, Scott Bagwill has a problem with string cheese. Onscreen, he revealed that he loves the snack so much that he eats entire packs of it at a time. Naturally, that became a massive obstacle in his weight loss journey.

Thankfully, he managed to conquer his food triggers and qualify for bariatric surgery. Fans haven’t seen the aftermath of his procedure onscreen. However, a slimmer version of Scott’s frame can be spotted in promos for the series. It’s just a matter of time before viewers learn more about his weight loss journey.

The TLC Star Seems To Be Sticking To His Goals

Due to NDAs with TLC, Scott Bagwill can’t quite share specific numbers yet. But based on interviews alone, his face appears much thinner. Scott recently appeared as a guest on a health podcast to talk about life after the surgery.

“If you haven’t listened yet, the newest episode of BariAftercare: The Podcast is available now at podcast/BariAftercare.com or wherever you listen to podcasts!” Dr. Connie Stapleton posted on Instagram. She attached a preview of her interview with TLC’s Scott Bagwill.

“And now with a lot of people using the GLP1S, they think, ‘I’ll take the meds and that’s going to be it.’ But without an aftercare program, without follow-up with your mental, physical, nutritional health, without changing your lifestyle, it’s only a matter time before a person regains their weight. And because I have been very familiar with your journey from before you had the surgery, I have got to say that you are doing what I wish and pray everybody would do after surgery,” Dr. Stapleton says in the video as Scott emphatically nods in agreement.
