‘Young & Restless’ Eileen Davidson Talks Escaping Malibu Fire

Actress and television personality Eileen Davidson shared a surprising update with fans. Taking to social media, she revealed that she was recently evacuated from her home thanks to the recent Franklin fire in Malibu. In her post, the star also shared her thanks for those who helped her during the ordeal.

The Actress Shared A Photo Of A Sky Aglow On Social Media

Davidson has had a prolific career on television. In the world of soaps, one of her most prominent roles has been Ashley Abbott on The Young and the Restless, as well as The Bold and the Beautiful.

Davidson was the first actress to play the character in 1982. After leaving the series in 1988, subsequent actresses played the role until Davidson returned in 1999.

Davidson also notably played Kristen DiMera and Susan Banks on Days of Our Lives, first appearing on the soap in 1993. Outside of her work as an actress, she also notably appeared on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

Recently, the actress had been impacted by Malibu’s Franklin Fire. As noted by Soaps, the fire came increasingly close to reaching Davidson’s home.

Davidson recently took to Instagram to share what happened with fans. During the post, she took time to thank those who had helped her.

As the star shared, “The last few days have been a nightmare. Thank God we were spared.”

“Under an evacuation warning for 48 hours is beyond frightening. I’m so grateful to the #firedepartment and everyone who bravely helped get the #franklinfire under control.”

Fans Also Noted That They Were Glad The Actress Was Safe

“And I’m so sorry for those who lost their homes. #malibustrong special mention to my lovely niece @writerannamarie.”

Davidsons’s niece, Annamarie Davidson, works as a writer. Series she has written for include Days of Our Lives, Endless Summer, and The Go Wild Safari Series.

The post also contained a collection of photos. The first depicted the California sky all lit with orange light, preserving the moments in time. The other photos were of suitcases and boxes, reflecting the evacuation order.

Taking to the comments, many fans shared that they were glad the actress was alright. As one fan wrote, “Glad you are safe from the fire, Eileen. My #VCFD #Captain brother and his crews are working tirelessly to get the #FranklinFire under control…”

As Soaps noted, thanks to the work of the firefighters, many of the evacuation orders have since been lifted. It was also noted that Davidson’s home must have been one of the lucky ones, as it appears its order was lifted.

As previously reported, other stars have also been impacted by the recent Malibu fires. This has included celebrities like actor Dick Van Dyke and singer Cher.
