Actor Will Smith has recently made rare comments about music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs. The Oscar winner talked about Combs while promoting a new song. This comes out amid Combs’ legal troubles, which started since his arrest in September.

Smith has had a prolific career in the entertainment industry. Many know him best for playing a fictionalized version of himself on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.

He’s also made a name for himself as a leading man in movies, like Men in Black and Independence Day. However, he arguably got his start as the MC for DJ Jazzy Jeff & the Fresh Prince.

The star recently released a new song called “Tantrum.” Smith has promoted the new song on Instagram.

In one video posted on social media, Smith shared a loop of the song with fans. As he wrote, “TANTRUM on loop. Run it up!!” The star also recently gave a performance of the song at San Diego’s Observatory North Park theater this past Thursday.

Videos of the performance have since been uploaded to TikTok. As seen, during the performance, Smith addressed recent internet memes connecting him to music mogul Sean Combs, also known as “Diddy” or “Puffy,” since the latter’s recent arrest.

Smith Even Snuck In A Joke About Baby Oil

As seen in one clip, Smith could be heard saying, “The world we’re in right now, it’s really hard for y’all to discern what’s real and what’s true, you know?” He continued, “I’ve been seeing y’all’s memes and stuff … Some of that stuff’s funny.”

“I haven’t addressed any of this publicly, but I just wanna say this very clearly: I don’t have s*** to do with Puffy, so y’all can stop all them memes. You can stop all of that bulls***.”

According to TMZ, Smith also denied attending one of Diddy’s infamous “Freak-Off” events. He also joked that he doesn’t like baby oil.

This was a reference to hundreds of bottles of baby oil being found by feds at one of Combs’ residences. The publication also notably shared a video of Smith’s comments on their YouTube channel.

As noted by People, Smith has been photographed with Combs at industry events from years past. However, Smith’s comments suggest their relationship doesn’t go any further than that.

Smith shared, “I ain’t been nowhere near that man, ain’t did none of that stupid s***.” He continued, “So whenever y’all hear it, if somebody say that, it’s a d*** lie.”
