‘Happy’s Place’ Chooses ‘Shameless’ Star As Reba’s Daughter
Happy’s Place has chosen a Shameless star to play Reba McEntire aka Bobbie’s daughter on the hit NBC sitcom. Gracie has been deployed so she will be returning home to a lot that’s changed and happened. So, who will take on the role of Gracie? Keep reading for more details.
Shameless Star Cast As Bobbie’s Daughter
Happy’s Place has featured Reba McEntire in the role of Bobbie, a daughter whose father passed away and left her his beloved bar. With that came a half-sister, Isabella (Belissa Escobedo) who Bobbie must co-own the bar. It was not an easy situation at first but they are learning how to navigate the ebbs and flows of business and sisterhood. More so, the hit NBC series, which has been unexpectedly successful, is somewhat of a Reba reunion. Melissa Peterman plays bartender, Gabby who adores Bobbie while Reba’s real-life partner, Rex Linn plays the cook, Emmett.
Isabella has been living with Bobbie since her daughter, Gracie is deployed and she is lonely. There have only been young and distant photos of Gracie. Yet, nothing up close had been shown of Bobbie’s daughter. Now, viewers will finally get to meet her when the show returns in January. On Friday, December 13th, Happy’s Place had its fall finale but has gotten a full season order. According to TV Line, a Shameless alum has been cast in the role of Gracie. Interestingly enough, Steve Howey, who played Van on Reba, was also on the Showtime series.

He just appeared on Happy’s Place to make Reba come full circle. So, who will helm the role? Emma Kenney will take the role from Elizabeth Alderfer and will make her first appearance on January 10th. Per the character description, this is what fans can expect of Gracie:
“She is in the military and has been deployed overseas. She has just gone on leave and is returning home to Knoxville to visit her mother.”
In Emma’s first episode as Gracie, Bobbie fears she will not get along with her long-lost aunt Isabella. At the same time, everyone at Happy’s will try to outdo each other with the best welcome-home gift.
Everywhere All At Once
Emma Kenney has chosen the perfect time to join Happy’s Place. She is currently preparing to bid farewell to The Conners in March where she plays Harris Healy. This will be the show’s seventh and last season but Emma started when it was a Roseanne reboot. So, she has been with that circle of people for eight seasons now. It will be a very hard goodbye but now she is being welcomed by Reba McEntire and company.
