HGTV ‘The Flip Off’ Erases Josh Hall From New Promos
The Flip Off hits HGTV in January and fans can’t wait to see Tarek El Moussa and Christina Haack back in action. However, there was a bit of a hiccup while filming. Josh Hall and Christina Haack split up in the middle of filming, meaning the show needed to completely shift focus.
Ahead of The Flip Off’s release, new promos are out. And Josh Hall is noticeably absent. Read on to learn more.
HGTV Seems To Have Kicked Josh Hall Out Of The Flip Off
When HGTV first announced The Flip Off in May 2024, it was supposed to be a competition-style show between two couples. Tarek and Heather El Moussa would face off against Josh and Christina Hall.
Initially, fans felt excited to relive the glory days of Flip or Flop. The show seemed like it would be a lot like Tarek and Christina’s old show, just with their new spouses. Josh Hall even appeared in promotional materials back in the spring.
However, fans began to worry over the summer. Josh and Christina Hall officially filed for divorce and plenty of public drama followed. What would that mean for the future of The Flip Off?

Thankfully for fans, the show will go on. Christina Haack dropped Josh’s last name and continued filming as a single woman. Photos from the set indicated that Christina was completely unbothered and wanted to keep filming with the El Moussas.
Christina Haack Cheers On The New Promo Designs
The old promo shoot for The Flip Off featured Tarek and Christina standing with their respective spouses. Josh might be out of the picture, but Christina isn’t backing down from the competition.
The new official promo is similar to the original design, but now Christina Haack stands alone.
Over on Instagram, the trio posed for another promo photo.
“It’s almost flipping time! #TheFlipOff, a spicy series that sees Tarek and Heather facing off against Christina in a renovation battle for the ages, premieres January 29 at 8|7c 🔥👀 📺” the official HGTV Instagram account captioned another promo for the show.

Some fans have expressed sympathy for Christina Haack, but she seems excited about the new designs. Divorce or not, she’s ready to compete.
“Can’t wait!!!! 👏🙌” the mother of three wrote in the comments. Several fans cheered her on, many noting they were definitely “Team Christina.”
