‘Today’ Fans Go Nuts Over Hoda Kotb Shocking Retro Look
A Christmas segment from 1987 has resurfaced of 23-year-old Hoda Kotb. Fans swear after seeing the footage that she is aging backward! Hoda recently celebrated her 60th birthday. She confirmed that the segment was her first on-air job at then-CBS affiliate WXVT in Greenville, Mississippi. Fans were very positive about seeing the Today host in her early days.
Hoda Kotb Goes Retro
In the newly resurfaced video of Hoda Kotb, she chatted with a man dressed up as Santa Claus. She said, ”I know that you are the best ho-ho-ho-er in the place. Let me hear one!” The vintage footage was shown on the Today Show on December 5. It was shared with Hoda’s current cohosts Al Roker, Carson Daly, and Savannah Guthrie, who were stunned by 23-year-old Hoda.
Carson Daly said, “What is happening?” Al Roker added “Wow! Oh my Gosh.” Savannah Guthrie chimed in “Incredible! Why are we just now seeing this video?” Roker commented again saying “I’ve never seen that Hoda hair before!” joking about the rather bouffant hairdo Kotb sported in 1987.
Fans Go Crazy Over Throwback Footage
The throwback footage of Hoda Kotb was very entertaining. Many viewers noticed that she has aged very well since the tape was filmed. Fans took straight to the comments section to remark on her remarkable lack of aging. Honestly, what are her secrets? Fans are eager to learn how exactly Hoda has remained looking so young after so many years. They were eager to share their thoughts. Fans said:

Hoda Kotb has had an amazing career since the video was taped in 1987. Her most recent position on Today will be coming to an end in January 2025. She announced earlier this year that she would be leaving her position in order to spend more time with her children. Hoda has relocated to the suburbs and purchased herself a minivan so that she can cart around her girls and their friends. She is looking forward to her new journey.
