Anna Cardwell Passes Away, Family Grieves
Anna Cardwell was a member of the Mama June family. Unfortunately, she passed away last year after being diagnosed with stage four adrenal carcinoma. This was heartbreaking for fans to watch and hear. However, Mama June has been trying to keep her memory alive every day since her passing. She revealed that she would never delete Anna’s number from their family group chat. June also still texts her. Fans understood why she still did this. The family went on a boat to spread her ashes in the ocean, where she loved to be. As much as this has hurt their family, it has also brought them together.
Mama June Shannon Paid Tribute To Late Daughter
Mama June revealed that on December 9, 2024, it was a year ago that Anna passed. She paid tribute to her late daughter.
“It feels surreal, if that makes sense. This weekend would’ve been her declining weekend because she passed away on Sunday. She passed away on her daughter’s birthday, her youngest daughter’s birthday. Anna loved, loved being in the spotlight. She did not give a f— what it was, being on TikTok or anything else, she loved being in the spotlight. She loved being on reality TV because if it was up to her, we would’ve streamed her funeral. And that’s what she wanted and we [were] like, ‘No, no.’ That was the only wish we did not give her when she passed away.”
She then revealed that she has good days and bad days. Some days she just gets in a funk and cannot shake it. While others feel okay. She also posted on Instagram.

It seems as though Mama June is missing her daughter more than ever. However, fans cannot blame her. They have been sending their condolences on the hard first anniversary of her death.
