Since then, Chase established himself as a leading man in comedy films. Notably, he played Clark W. Griswold in the various National Lampoon’s Vacation films.

As Chase wrote in the comments, “[Em Chase] and [Alex Baglieri] brought my beautiful granddaughter over. Check out her fanny!”
A Rep For The Actor Later Addressed The Concerns
Chase himself didn’t seem too upset by the injury, with him visibly laughing in the photo. However, fans took to the comments to ask what happened to his eye.

Of course, these comments also tended to congratulate Chase over his new family member. As one fan wrote, “Such a precious photo, and I’m sorry to see [you’re] injured. I hope your eye gets well soon.”
A rep for the actor later spoke to TMZ about these concerns. They started with a joke, saying, “[Chase] does not like to brag, but he fights crime late at night. You can thank him later.”
However, the rep later clarified what actually happened. As they noted, Chase “just bumped his head in his hotel room rushing for a meeting.” At this time, the actor himself hasn’t addressed the comments directly.
