50 Cent Says NFL Will Dump Jay-Z For Super Bowl 2025 Amid Rape Claim
American rapper Curtis James Jackson III, better known as 50 Cent, recently spoke out about the recent legal troubles concerning Jay-Z. This comes out after the latter rapper was recently named in a refiled suit alleging Jay-Z and Sean “Diddy” Combs raped an underage victim. Making a few jokes at Jay-Z’s expense, 50 Cent also speculated on what this could mean for Jay-Z’s career.
50 Cent Talked About Jay-Z In A Now-Deleted Instagram Post & A Recent Interview
Jay-Z was recently named in a civil suit in which a victim, identified as “Jane Doe,” alleged the rapper raped her alongside music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs during an incident in 2000. Jay-Z was originally unidentified in the suit, only being named after it was recently amended.
Since the news came out, various figures have shared their reactions. Rapper 50 Cent also recently shared his thoughts on the matter.
As noted by Us Weekly, 50 Cent recently joked about Jay-Z attending a movie with his family, including wife Beyoncé, after the news came out in a now-deleted Instagram post. As he wrote, “Jay said they said I rapped [sic] a kid, everybody get dressed, [we’re] going to see Mufasa, LOL.”
However, as the publication also noted, 50 Cent gave a more serious reaction to the story in a recent interview with radio host Big Boy. During the conversation, he brought up an X post concerning the 2025 Super Bowl halftime show, in which Kendrick Lamar is set to headline.
50 Cent Also Addressed A Recent Statement Made By Jay-Z
In the post, 50 Cent wrote, “Ok, I don’t know what’s going on, but are we gonna still have the Super Bowl. I’m just asking for a friend.” This was in reference to Jay-Z’s Roc Nation producing the halftime show since 2020.
During the interview, 50 Cent shared, “I’m asking for Kendrick. I’m just trying to figure if we’re still doing everything.” He also predicted that the NFL will try to cut its ties with Jay-Z since being named in the suit. As he noted, “They will fall back … the NFL.” He added, “They won’t necessarily be associated to that.”

For his part, Jay-Z has denied the allegations made against him. The publication also shared the following statement from the rapper: “My wife and I will have to sit our children down, one of whom is at the age where her friends will surely see the press and ask questions about the nature of these claims, and explain the cruelty and greed of people.”
50 Cent also talked about this statement, noting, “I just hope things are alright for him internally, at the crib.” He continued, “In the statement, they mentioned his daughter [Blue Ivy] being old enough [to understand]. She’s about 13. So it’s the same age as his kids what [they are] saying he did.”
50 Cent has endured legal battles himself over the years. He also noted, “It isn’t what you did. It’s what they said you did.” However, he also shared, “The damage is already done by the allegation itself.”
