Jay-Z Rape Accuser Denies Demanding Money
An amended civil suit recently alleged that rappers Sean “Diddy” Combs and Shawn Carter, also known as Jay-Z, once raped an underage girl. Jay-Z himself has recently responded to these allegations. The anonymous figure at the heart of the case has recently addressed further claims concerning her.
Jane Doe’s Attorney Released A Statement Over The Case
A woman identified as “Jane Doe” filed a suit against Sean “Diddy” Combs claiming he raped her in 2000 when she was a minor. As the suit claims, the incident took place at what she believed was an afterparty for the VMAs.
The suit has since been amended to name Jay-Z, as well, with Jane Doe making similar claims against him. An unnamed female celebrity was also referred to in the suit, allegedly watching the incident.
Jane Doe’s attorney Tony Buzbee recently spoke with TMZ about the case. As he claimed, Doe never asked for a “penny” from Jay-Z.
The statement continued, “Mr. Carter previously denied being the one who sued me and my firm. He even filed his frivolous case under a pseudonym. What he fails to say in his recent statement is my firm sent his lawyer a demand letter on behalf of an alleged victim and that victim never demanded a penny from him.”
“Instead, she only sought a confidential mediation. Since I sent the letter on her behalf, Mr. Carter has not only sued me, but he has tried to bully and harass me and this plaintiff. His conduct has had the opposite impact. She is emboldened. I’m very proud of her resolve.”
As Us Weekly noted, Jay-Z was previously unidentified in the original lawsuit. However, according to the publication, it is unclear if he is the celebrity that sued Buzbee’s firm.
For His Part, Jay-Z Released A Statement Denying These Allegations
The suit was filed back in October in the October in the Southern District of New York. However, it was refiled this past Sunday, now featuring Jay-Z by name.
On his end, Jay-Z himself has recently denied these allegations. As he shared on X, formerly Twitter, through Roc Nation, “My lawyer received a blackmail attempt, called a demand letter, from a ‘lawyer’ named Tony Buzbee. What he had calculated was the nature of these allegations and the public scrutiny would make me want to settle.”

As previously reported, the statement continued, “No sir, it had the opposite effect! It made me want to expose you for the fraud you are in a VERY public fashion. So no, I will not give you ONE RED PENNY!!”
