Iam Tongi shared some exciting news with his fans on social media this week. The American Idol winner revealed he is celebrating a milestone in his romantic life. Iam, who has toured extensively since his big win on Idol has a girlfriend and the two of them are celebrating their anniversary.
Iam posted a photo of him and his girlfriend, Leah. He said they were celebrating their one-year anniversary of dating. he captioned the photo: “1 year ago you forced me to ask you out, nah nah jk jk, I love you babe, forever.”
This also included a slideshow of the two of them together as he showed his love for her. Leah responded to the post by writing, “Happy anniversary myhandsome, I love you more.”
Iam Tongi Recently Honored A Teacher
Iam Tongi also recently took the time to honor a special teacher at a surprise assembly. This happened at a high school in Idaho when he made a special appearance for the East Idaho News. This news publication honors special people every week for what they called “Feel Good Friday.”

This specific week, a student put her teacher’s name in as a possible honoree, and the East Idaho News chose her to honor. The school had an assembly to set up a food drive, and no one knew that was going to happen except a reporter, Iam, and the high school student they interviewed before the event.
During the assembly, the reporter made his way out to the floor and took over the microphone. He called up the teacher, Jenni Warner. He then gave her a gift card and her students also presented her with some gifts. More importantly, the music teacher got VIP tickets to Iam Tongi’s concert in Idaho that night.
Then, she got the biggest surprise. The East Idaho News brought in Iam Tongi, who performed a new song for her and the kids at the assembly. The teacher was in tears, and it was clearly a special moment.
