Jerry O’Connell Shares Last Days On ‘The Talk’
With CBS’ The Talk soon coming to end, fans are starting to wonder what the last episodes are going to be like. Co-host Jerry O’Connell has recently spoken out about what it’s like working on the show during its final days. In particular, he addressed rumors on what the crew is going through as the show is reaching its final episode.
Jerry O’Connell Joined The Talk Back In 2021
O’Connell first came to prominence as a child actor in Stand By Me. He’s also had notable roles in shows like Sliders and Crossing Jordan, as well as films like Scream 2, Joe’s Apartment, Jerry Maguire, and Kangaroo Jack.
Back in 2021, O’Connell joined The Talk as a permanent co-host, filling in for Sharon Osbourne. He would also go on to perform hosting duties for Pictionary and The Real Love Boat, the latter of which he co-hosted with his wife, Rebecca Romijn.
However, as previously reported, it has since been announced that The Talk will end with its 15th season, with the final episode airing on December 20, 2024. A new soap, Beyond the Gates, is slated to take its place.
As the crew know they are gradually reaching the last episode, there’s been some speculation that they will take their ease as the show runs its course. The U.S. Sun, in particular, released as article claiming the hosts have “checked out,” comparing the situation to high school students with “senioritis.”
O’Connell Addressed Rumors About The Set On Instagram
As the article claimed, a production source claimed, “It’s very senior year vibes on set right now” as they wrap up the final few weeks. They have just a handful of filming days left. Half of the staff are pouring that much more effort into everything because they love it and care so much.
O’Connell himself, however, became aware of the article and addressed it on social media. Posting an image of the headline on Instagram, the actor denied these claims.

As O’Connell wrote in the caption, “What the heck [The Sun] You’re acting like we’re just hanging in the hallways, smoking grass! We give it our all! Everyday! I danced like Mick Jagger on Tuesday. Then I was Sly Stallone. AND THEN my co-hosts showed their feet! Goonies never say die!!! Love [The Talk] fam!”
As noted by Deadline, O’Connell also shared the support he received from fans since news of The Talk‘s cancelation came out. In particular, comedian Loni Love, who recently saw the cancelation of a show she co-hosted, The Real, in 2022, shared a response.
Love shared, “You sure do Jerry, but even if y’all did just phone it in, it would be cause for it.” She continued, “Cancellations are brutal but all I have seen from the cast are professionals enjoying the last days.”
