‘The Later Daters’: Where Are The Dating Show’s Stars Now?
Netflix has some interesting reality TV shows that are like nothing else on television. They even had a dating show called The Later Daters that just aired and focused on older singles in their 50s and 60s who are looking for another chance at love. They worked with the author of How to Not Die Alone and dating coach Logan Ury.
Here is a look at where the cast from The Later Daters is since the show ended.
What Happened In The Later Daters?
Netflix premiered The Later Daters on November 29. Executive produced by Michelle Obama, the show follows six singles in their 50s and 60s who try to get back into dating life as they seek to find new partners in their later years. It all started out with blind dates.
The six people started going on several blind dates hoping to find someone who was a perfect match. Anise was married three times. Suzanne was a widow who had been married for 27 years. Nate was married for 16 years. Pam was married twice and widowed twice. Lori was divorced once. Greg was divorced twice.
“I believe that we all deserve a chance at finding love and happiness — no matter how old we are. No one has missed the boat, it just hasn’t shown up,” Michelle Obama said on Instagram about the project.
Where Are The Later Daters Women Now?
The reality TV series showed the people heading out on dates. They meet new people, and in some cases, they find that it is just as hard to find good dates in their later years as it was when they were younger. However, they kept working at it, and here is what happened to watch of the six people.
Anise, 62, married her high school sweetheart, and they had two kids before she suddenly died. She divorced twice after that. Anise met Willie, a father of five, on the show, and they began dating. However, they only dated for six months before calling it quits. She is still single.
Suzanne, 63, was married for 27 years and had three children with her husband before he died. She ended up dating a man named Avery, a divorcee with three kids. They ended the series together, but they broke up soon after. She said they are still friends, but she is still casually dating.
Pam, 70, was married twice. She eventually hit it off with a man named Dwight, a father of one who was never married. However, they ended the series as friends, but not dating. She is still single.
Lori, 57, is a divorced mother of two. She eventually met a man named Felton, but they didn’t end up in a romantic relationship. She said Felton is her best friend now, and they talk all the time, but she is also still single.
Where Are The Later Daters Men Now?
Nate, 56, has two kids, one with a friend and one with his ex-wife, who he was married to for 16 years. He connected with two women on the show (Michelle and Lisa), but neither worked out. He is still single and is not currently looking to date anyone.
Greg, 61, is divorced twice and has two sons, one with cerebral palsy. He went on dates with two women (Kelly and Sherry). Greg liked Kelly but wasn’t willing to pursue a relationship thanks to her living an hour away. He reached out to Kelly, but she was already seeing someone else.
