Snoop Dogg’s Daughter Cori Broadus Gets Real
Snoop Dogg’s daughter Cori Broadus shared with her fans what it has been like to live with Lupus. She said that it has had a detrimental effect on her mental health. During the December 5th episode of Snoop’s Fatherhood: Cori & Wayne’s Story Cori shared in her confessional that she has struggled with depression from the time she was a little girl. She said:
“Since a little girl I’ve always been depressed, I’ve always been ‘why me?’ Just being young and sick with Lupus, it was hard. Going to the doctor’s all the time, taking blood pressure medications. So, once COVID hit, I was just in a dark, deep space. I was in a mental facility because I tried to commit suicide, I think, in 2021.”
Snoop Dogg’s daughter was candid about her support system. She shared that during one of the most difficult times of her life, she had her fiance Wayne Duece to lean on. She said:
“I am so lucky to have Wayne, but still, we’re all going through something. It will be okay, and it does come with time. I feel like, when we’re in a certain space or place, it feels like the end of the world.”
Broadus was able to overcome her suicide attempt and with proper help was able to get back on her feet. Cori is the youngest of Snoop Dogg and Shante Broadus’s three children. She was able to focus her energy, fight her depression, and eventually start her cosmetics brand Choc Factory.
