Some celebrities can’t do anything without fans finding a way to bash them. When it is a celeb like Gwen Stefani, that happens more often than not. The big problem here is that since Gwen began appearing on The Voice, many fans have found more reasons to dislike her no matter what she does.
This week, Gwen Stefani was promoting an app, and many fans have taken to social media to show their disgust and call her a “trad wife.” Here is what you need to know.
Gwen Stefani Promotes Prayer App
Gwen Stefani announced this week that she was partnering with a company that offers a prayer app. She announced it on social media and said that the partnership was to coincide with Christmas, which she called the “season that we get to celebrate the birth of our Lord.”
Gwen said, “This year, I’m excited to share that I’ve partnered with this amazing prayer and meditation music app called Hallow on their 25-day prayer challenge leading up to Christmas called Advent Pray 25,” (via Instagram)
She then invited others to join her and “millions of other Christians around the world” as they celebrate God and the birth of Jesus. This app has people join in and pray every day, and she finished with “God bless.” While this was clearly an ad that she was paid for, many people came out and blasted her for the promotion of prayer.
Fans Blast Gwen Stefani For Promoting Christian-Based App
The fans who blasted her promotion of the product also began with name-calling and insulting Gwen Stefani for her beliefs. Things got ugly very fast on social media.

This controversy comes just as Gwen Stefani promotes her new album, Bouquet, which she released on November 15, 2024. The album has so far hit 95th on the Billboard 200. She has released three singles from it, but none of them have charted.
