‘Duck Dynasty’ Phil Robertson Diagnosed With Alzheimer’s
Fans of Duck Dynasty have recently received a devastating update concerning Phil Robertson. It’s been shared that the family patriarch has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. This news also notably comes out after it was announced a reboot of the original series was in the works.
The News Was Shared In A Family Podcast
Phil is a businessman known for his Duck Commander company, particularly its Duck Commander call. He and his family would eventually become reality TV stars thanks to Duck Dynasty.
Phil, his sons Jase and Al, and his nephew Zach, also participate in a podcast, “Unashamed with the Robertson Family.” On a recent episode of the podcast, Jase shared an update with fans about his father’s health.
As Jase explained, “Phil’s not doing well. I think I spoke on the 1000th podcast, we were trying to figure out the diagnosis, but according to the doctors, he has some sort of blood disease causing all kinds of problems.”
As noted by Fox News, Jase continued that, “It’s like accelerated, and it’s causing problems with his entire body. And he has early stages of [Alzheimer’s]. So, if you put those things together, he’s really not doing well. He’s struggling.”
Fans Have Recently Become Concerned About A Few Other Members Of The Duck Dynasty Family
Jase continued that his father, who had previously been part of the podcast, would be “unable to sit down and have a conversation.” He also claimed Phil was recently having trouble walking around.
Jase also noted that, according to doctors, there isn’t a cure for Phil’s condition. As Jase shared, “We’re trying to make him a little more comfortable.” Jase ended the podcast episode thanking fans for the prayers and support they give his father.

As previously reported, Duck Dynasty fans also recently became worried about the health of Phil’s younger brother Silas, also known as “Uncle Si.” At the time, fans grew worried after seeing Si in a family photo taken for Thanksgiving, with him appearing to be using an oxygen device.
This news also comes out that there are plans to reboot the original series, which originally ended in 2017. At the time, there was concern from fans who would be returning for the series. The recent news could impact Phil’s appearances in the upcoming reboot.
Fans also recently grew concerned for Phil’s wife Marsha Kay, also known as “Miss Kay.” During a recent video discussing the reboot, Phil’s son Willie discussed how, over the years, fans would come up to him and tell him how much the show meant to them. When Willie mentioned a fan whose mother had passed away, some fans took it out of context to think he was referring to his own mother.
