As a panelist on The Masked Singer, Ken Jeong has become known for his wild guesses over the years. However, Jeong’s co-stars suspect he might be onto something with one of his more recent guesses. Ultimately, it depends on just who is wearing the Wasp costume on the show.

Ken Jeong’s Co-Stars Think He Might Be Onto Something

The Masked Singer was inspired by the South Korean reality series, King of Mask Singer. In this show, celebrities perform songs while disguised in all sorts of elaborate costumes, hiding their identities.

During the series’ most recent line-up, one of the masked performers is the Wasp. Panelist Ken Jeong thinks he might have figured out just who it could be beneath the mask.

All sorts of celebrities have appeared on the series, even stars not particularly known for their singing. In fact, Jeong suspects the Wasp’s moves look a little too familiar.

This was shown in a preview shared with Us Weekly. As Jeong put it, “I think the vocals, the dance moves, everything to me — the Wasp is stinging me with your friend Usher.”

Normally, the other panelists often make fun of Jeong for his guesses. However, this time, they suspected he might be onto something.

In fact, the audience could be heard applauding at Jeong’s guess. This spurred Jenny McCarthy to say, “Wow, they’re clapping!”

Even Nick Cannon Chimed In Over The Guess

Jeong also noted, “There is a theme of love, Usher has had a very public love life.” He also pointed out that Usher played “one of the biggest shows of the decade,” in reference to his Super Bowl halftime show.

Series host Nick Cannon also noted, “It’s not a bad guess, Ken!” This caused Jeong to respond, “I’m stinging like a wasp, look at my stinger!”

As the quarterfinals are about to start for season 12, the Wasp will compete with Strawberry Shortcake, Goo and the Buffalos. Royal Knight and Sherlock Hound, revealed to be Jana Kramer and Bronson Arroyo, were previously sent home in an episode aired before Thanksgiving.

In addition to his duties on The Masked Singer, Jeong is also known for his work as a comedian and actor. Some of his more notable roles include Leslie Chow in The Hangover films and Ben Chang in Community. He is also a licensed California physician, though he gave up practicing medicine in favor of his acting work.

Jeong also appeared on the first series of the British version of The Masked Singer. He also serves as a presenter for I Can See Your Voice.
