‘1000-Lb Best Friends’ Vannessa 1st Weigh-In Since Skin Removal
Last week on 1000-Lb Best Friends, fans cheered as Vannessa Cross went in for her skin removal surgery. Thankfully, it seemed the procedure was successful. But sadly, the episode ended before viewers had a chance to see Vannessa react to having her excess skin removed.
Skin removal was one of her biggest goals for over a year. Now that she finally had the procedure, Vannessa surely feels invincible and ready to take on the world.
Vannessa feels excited about better mobility, but ditching the excess skin will also help with her weight loss goals. Read on to see what to expect from tonight’s new episode.
1000-Lb Best Friends: Vannessa Cross Reaches A New Weight Loss Milestone
Vannessa Cross feels amazing after receiving skin removal surgery. She put in the hard work and fans love seeing her succeed. In tonight’s new episode, Vannessa reveals she’s conquered another monumental hurdle.
“Vannessa DID 👏 THAT! 👏 See her emotional first weigh in after skin removal on a brand new episode of #1000lbBestFriends, Tuesday at 10/9c. ❤️🥹” the official TLC Instagram account captioned a new post.
“Before I went to the hospital for my skin surgery, the scale said 220 lbs,” Vannessa shared in a confessional. “So let’s see where I land.”
She and the doctor stare at the scale in anticipation before it finally arrives at a new number — 195 lbs. Vannessa shrieks with delight at the number and proudly reveals that she’s never been under 200 lbs in her adult life. The doctor also shares that she’s still carrying water weight as she recovers from the surgery, so the scale will probably go down over the next several days.
“195. To see 195 on the scale, I am losing my sh*t,” the TLC star reveals in her confessional. “I never thought I’d make it. I simply feel my mama and my daddy, looking down from Heaven, and going, ‘That’s my boo boo. She made it. She did it.'”
