‘The Price Is Right’ Player Suffers Severe Injury On Set
The Price Is Right is a game show full of surprises. Also, because it tapes in front of a live audience, you never quite know just what to expect. In recent scenes, a player suffered a severe injury. So, what happened with this situation?
The Price Is Right: Players Can’t Always Deal With The High Energy
While it’s easy to remain calm while watching The Price Is Right from your living room, it’s a completely different ballgame when you are a player competing on the game show set. There is pressure to win, and pressure for a chance at the Showcase Showdown. However, there’s a lot more to deal with than that.
For many people, the stress of the moment gets to them. Not only does this affect their gameplay, but, in some instances, this can also affect their physical health as well. In other instances, players actually injure themselves while playing one of the games on The Price Is Right.
Player Suffers Injury On Game Show Set
In recent The Price Is Right scenes, one player got a little too enthusiastic when it came to playing a game called Punch A Bunch. In this game, players have to punch the game board to reveal a money total hidden behind the dollar sign. Players get three punches at the board.
From there, Drew Carey reveals the first money total, and players can either decide to walk away with that total, or toss it and hope they get a higher total from the next number. In a recent instance, the player got a little too enthusiastic with his punching, and appeared to hurt himself.
Was Pain Worth The Gain For The Price Is Right Player?
For this recent The Price Is Right player, he ended up making the right call. His first money total was $250, which he passed up. His second total was $5,000, which he kept. Finally, his third total was $1,000. So, despite the pain to his wrist, he made out with the highest money total of his three options. So, overall, this was not bad for a day’s work.
The highest amount that players can win on this game is $25,000, but, the statistics to even grab that one are rare. So, the fact that this player made it out with $5,000 was certainly a good deal.
