Truth Behind Why Sean Diddy Combs’ Bail Denied 3 Times
Sean “Diddy” Combs went in for a new hearing this last week to try to earn bail. This was his third bail hearing. For the third time, the judge denied him bail. Police arrested Combs in September, and he awaits trial for his s*x trafficking case.
Here is a look at why Combs was denied bail for a third time and what is next.
Why Was Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs Denied Bail Once Again?
For the third time since his arrest in September, a judge has denied Sean “Diddy” Combs bail. Federal judge Arun Subramanian of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York rejected the third attempt at bail and explained why he refused it.
Subramanian said that the “seriousness” of the violent crimes that Combs has been charged with was the main consideration for denying bail. These charges include s*x trafficking, forced labor, kidnapping, arson, and obstruction of justice. There were additional allegations, including the use of firearms, threats, and coercion as part of a criminal enterprise spanning decades.
The courts also believe that Combs is a danger to the community. They feel that no conditions would guarantee the community’s safety if he were released. “The Court finds that the government has shown by clear and convincing evidence that no condition or combination of conditions will reasonably assure the safety of the community,” the judge revealed.
Diddy’s Alleged Breaking Of Prison Rules Also Led To Decision
There was also evidence of violence, including video footage and text messages from the alleged victims that led to the bail denial. There have also been accusations that Diddy has violated several prison rules. He allegedly used other inmates’ phone accounts to make three-way calls to contact witnesses.
Sean Combs’s legal team set up detailed conditions he would follow if released, including not being allowed a cell phone; the courts felt he wasn’t reliable, especially due to the recent obstruction allegations. Combs also made claims about inadequate detention conditions, but the courts also shot those complaints down.
Combs has pleaded not guilty to all charges against him. However, the judge said that the allegations of witness tampering meant he had to remain in jail. The defense claims the case against Diddy is “slim,” and he should be released until his trial, where they feel he will be found not guilty.
Diddy is mostly accused of actions during “freak offs” at his parties, where he allegedly brought in s*x workers from across state lines. Some of these people were allegedly underage.
