It’s no secret that Kylie Jenner will do whatever it takes to look perfect. At her young age, she’s already had multiple procedures to keep herself looking her best. However, her most recent one is actually rather dangerous to have done. Apparently, she’s been doing a lot to keep her jaw and chin snatched.
However, because of her “perfect” jaw, fans have been looking for their own ways to get such a snatched jawline. This includes a jaw enhancement surgery which involves a metal rod going into the jaw earlier to suck out any fat. Radar Online reports that this can have a lot of dangerous results, including the doctor accidentally poking the rod through the skin. Apparently, there has even been nerve damage as a result of this procedure.
One worried surgeon is speaking out on it, begging Kylie’s fans to be careful when it comes to any medical procedure like this.
Dangers Of A Snatched Jaw
“Whether those celebrities like Kylie Jenner or Bella Hadid have actually had any jaw enhancement (they have actually come out and said they have in a lot of cases), with make-up, lighting and contouring it can appear like they have, and people have been speculating about it,” the surgeon starts. “People want to look like the celebrities they see.It should really be done by a surgeon as it’s quite a complicated procedure,” they say.
They go on to talk about just how negative it can be and the permanent damage it can do. “It is definitely not appropriate for a non-medic to be doing,” the doctor continues. “In fact, it is very dangerous and there are lots of potential risks like infection, scarring, nerve damage and causing fatal blood clots. There are complicated and important structures particularly around the neck that you don’t want to be messing around with.
Not only that, but most of the nerves go to the brain. So, it’s definitely not something to be messed with.
“You’ve got most of the nerves that go towards your brain and towards your body and you have major blood vessels, there is lots of potential to cause damage by someone who doesn’t know what they are doing.”
