Brandon Beemer & Martha Madison Return To ‘Days Of Our Lives’
Two big names are returned to Days of Our Lives this holiday season. The first showed up early in November and the second is coming at the end of November. Martha Madison made her return to the show on November 8, and Brandon Beemer will show back up on November 29.
Here is why they made their return and what they had to say about it.
Days Of Our Lives Have Two Big Returns In November 2024
Martha Madison returned to Days of Our Lives in the November 8 episode. Martha plays Belle Black, the daughter of John Black (Drake Hogestyn) and Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall). She made her first appearance on the show in 2003 and was last seen in Salem in 2023.
Brandon Beemer shows up on November 29. He plays Shawn Brady, another second-generation Salem resident. Shawn is the son of Bo Brady (Peter Reckell) and Hope Williams Brady (Kristian Alfonso). He made his first appearance in 2006. He was also last seen in Salem in 2023.
Now, the two kids of the legendary characters are back around the same time, and it is a move that even surprised them.
“I didn’t expect I would ever be back,” Madison said. “So I think I just kind of made the most of it, not really knowing what to expect, and not really signing on for an extended period of time at the beginning, just kind of see how it went. And it was, honestly, my wish list come true and it’s been so nice” (via TV Insider).
She said this is the best time she has had this last year and complimented the new writers, Paula Cwikly and Jeanne Marie Ford.
Brandon Beemer Happy To Be Back As Well
Just like Martha, Brandon Beemer is also excited to be back on Days of Our Lives. He said he wasn’t sure if he would get invited back, and he said he just rolls with the punches when he gets the chance to play Shawn.
“I didn’t expect it,” Brandon said. “Especially after the first go-round, the first little stint. I was like, ‘All right, never going back.’ And then you come back, and then you go, and then you come back again.” He admitted he wouldn’t shake hands and say goodbye anymore because he wanted to return.
The two also said they were happy to be back this month, as the show celebrated its 59th year on the air in November. “It’s kind of mind-blowing,” Madison said. “And I think for Hollywood standards, it’s hard for anyone to really truly grasp the importance of this show in just the zeitgeist and in Hollywood in general.”
It is also bittersweet for Madison. Her on-screen father, Drake Hogestyn, died in September from pancreatic cancer.
