In the Monday, November 25 episode of Live With Kelly And Mark, Kelly Ripa stirred up a batch of buttery mashed potatoes for fans to get ready for Thanksgiving. However, she also managed to ignite a debate over sides. Although she was proceeding cautiously with the known preferences, she stepped on a few toes along the way. But she cleared matters up on Tuesday’s show as to why stuffing and dressing have different names. However, over the weekend she hadn’t been so careful. Unfortunately, Kelly managed to get injured and Mark Consuelos brought it up for discussion.

Kelly Ripa’s Injury Is Noticeable And Mark Consuelos Points It Out

When Live host, Kelly Ripa shows she is struggling to move on Monday morning, November 25, Mark Consuelos points it out. While Kelly moves “gingerly” to face Mark, she reveals she threw out her neck over the weekend. Calmly, Mark sympathizes with his wife saying, “Your neck is the Achilles heel of your body.” Then, he adds, “It goes out.” But Kelly jokes that her neck “doesn’t go out often.” Oversimplifying, Mark states, “When something’s wrong with you, it’s always your neck.” Admittedly, Kelly remarks, “I did it to myself, to be clear.” Relieved, Mark replies, “I’m glad I wasn’t involved.”

Kelly Ripa Shares Details About Her Shocking Injury

Furthermore, Live‘s Kelly Ripa clarifies while Mark Consuelos wasn’t at fault, it wasn’t an average, run-of-the-mill injury. She explains, “And it wasn’t, like, an old age thing, where you sneeze and you throw out your neck or you hang up your coat and you throw out your neck.” Instead, Kelly blames Michael Gelman for her unusual way of pulling it. She targets him saying, “I was doing Pilates, Gelman. This is where I blame Gelman.” He is known for his intense workouts that he has shared with the show. The audience laughs and Mark looks at his response as he shrugs and says, “Don’t blame the Pilates.”

Furthermore, she elaborates on doing a fairly “advanced” move that was new to her. She reenacts the movement the best she can with her arms and little movement to her neck. She says, “It’s an ab exercise.” Then, she shares, “So your arms are down, and you roll your feet back, and then you slowly bring your legs down.” Mark Consuelos joins the motions.

Looking to Michael Gelman she refers to the “long spine” movement. Furthermore, Kelly Ripa adds, “I was doing that, and I guess I threw my legs over with too much ferocity, and I almost flipped all the way back off the machine.” Although Mark Consuelos was initially grateful he wasn’t to blame for the injury, he quickly wished he was. When hearing the ins and outs of his wife’s movements, he was ready to try it again with her.

Mark Consuelos said, “On second thought, maybe I wish I was involved in that. The way you’re describing this move. This move is fascinating to me… I want to do short spine this weekend!” Then, she responds, “Short spine is great, but long spine is hard. And I did it with too much zeal because part of my personality disorder is that I think I’m an expert immediately after I try something once.” Mark jokes, “Gotta be careful with the ‘pie-lates.'”
