Prosecutors Claim Diddy Beat, Punched & Threatened To Kill Staff
A letter from prosecutors is starting to allege that Sean “Diddy” Combs physically mistreated his own personal staff. The letter also attempted to detail the various charges Diddy is currently facing. This came to light during the mogul’s most recent bail hearing.
Prosecutors Gave The Judge Their Letter At Diddy’s Friday Bail Hearing
Diddy has been facing legal troubles since September, when he was indicted of various charges, including sex trafficking. While currently behind bars at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, he has pleaded not guilty to these charges.
Diddy appeared at a bail hearing at a Manhattan federal court this past Friday. His attorneys have offered to impose various conditions on the mogul, such as 24-hour surveillance, should he be granted bail.
However, prosecutors are trying to keep Diddy from being released, alleging that he broke various federal rules while in prison. Many of these allegations were detailed in a letter to the judge.
According to People, the letter shared that, “Beyond his romantic partners, the defendant also physically abused his personal staff.” It continued that, “Former staff members have described the defendant threatening to kill them, throwing objects at them, and being struck, punched, and shoved by the defendant, and seeing him do the same to others.”
The letter also allegedly tried to emphasize the charges Diddy is facing. For example, it claimed that the mogul allegedly appeared at a woman’s house and attempted to beat down her door using a hammer.
A Few Of Diddy’s Bail Proposals Have Already Been Rejected
U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian is the one overseeing the case. His decision on Diddy’s bail proposal is expected to come out this week. The mogul’s trial is scheduled to take place in May 2025.
Combs’ legal team, however, has called the prosecution’s case “thin.” They proposed he could be released on $50 million bail with various conditions.
As previously reported, Subramanian recently rejected a bail proposal in which the mogul would have stayed under house arrest at his private island home on Star Island in Florida. Although Diddy does have a dock, he would not have had a boat under this plan’s guidelines, and there is only one way off the island.
One alternate idea was for Diddy to be placed under house arrest in his three-bedroom Upper East Side apartment. Some of these bail proposals offered to impose various conditions on the mogul, such as limiting his contacts to his legal team and family. However, Diddy’s already had various bail proposals rejected.
