Lyle Menendez ‘Dating’ 21 Year Old Student From Prison
Erik and Lyle Menendez are about to find out if they will get a resentencing hearing. However, some news just leaked about Lyle that might paint the brothers in a bad light heading into this big moment. It appears that Lyle has a girlfriend he met while in prison, and he might be seeking a divorce.
Here is what we know about Lyle and this new twist in his life story.
Lyle Menendez Has A New 21-Year-Old Girlfriend While In Prison
According to reports, Lyle Menendez is having an “affair” with a 21-year-old British student he met online while in prison (via Radar Online). Lyle has been in prison for 35 years since he and his brother Erik were found guilty of murdering their parents.
The woman is named Milly Bucksey, and the reports indicate that Lyle might want to divorce his wife, Rebecca Sneed, who has stayed with him through all the years in prison to seek a relationship with the younger woman. Lyle married Sneed in 2003 while he was in prison. Ironically, they got married one month before Milly was born.
“Lyle adores Milly. And she refers to him as her boyfriend even though he’s married,” one source said. He seemingly began a romance with Milly earlier this year when he noticed her on a Facebook group that his wife ran. He allegedly contacted her using an alias before finally revealing it was him.
His “affair” was made known when he was caught talking to her on a contraband phone that was snuck into the prison. There was even a photo that showed her visiting him in prison. She lives 5,300 miles from the Richard J. Donovan Correctional Facility in San Diego, California.
Lyle also cheated on his first wife, Anna Eriksson. That marriage ended in 2001 after he was caught sending letters to another woman.
Erik & Lyle Menendez Up For A Resentencing Opportunity
Erik and Lyle Menendez have a chance to see their prison sentences reduced in a new hearing. The brothers were sentenced to life in prison after killing their parents, Kitty and Jose Menendez in 1989. However, former Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón recommended a resentencing, saying the brothers “paid their debt to society.”
This also comes after recent evidence indicates that the boys were abused, as they claimed in their original trial. The jury dismissed these claims and sentenced them on the belief they only wanted their family’s inheritance.
There is one problem. DA Gascón was voted out, and new DA Nate Hochman might not have the same thoughts on the brothers’ freedom. California Governor Gavin Newsom declined to offer the brothers immediate clemency. The hearing is set for December 11.
