Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos have been juggling work and play lately. They filmed a handful of episodes at a big resort in Palm Springs in the middle of the month, and they even took time off to take a trip to Iceland, where Ripa confessed to setting her and Mark’s swimsuits on fire.

Recently on Live, Kelly and Mark welcomed Dame Prue Leith. She is a renowned chef and restauranteur who has prepared food and more for the British Royals. Leith stopped by to share a recipe for day-old croissants, like a cross between bread pudding and dessert sandwiches. Particularly with Thanksgiving right around the corner, it’s no surprise that there were food themes.
While the food was certainly impressive, Kelly Ripa nudged Leith to spill the tea on some gossip, including what it was like to work with King Charles. To this day, there is a continued fascination with the British Royal Family. So, because Dame Prue Leith has worked closely with them, it’s no surprise that Ripa nudged her for some details.
Celeb Guest Has Vulgar Slip Of The Tongue
It turns out, the celeb guest let a vulgar moment slip on television once Kelly Ripa prodded her for more details. Kelly asked Leith how King Charles likes to take his tea. Of course, tea in British culture is a huge deal, and depending on who you ask, how someone takes their tea can tell you a lot about them.
According to Leith, she hesitated at first, choosing her words carefully on live television. However, when Kelly assured her that she could say whatever she wanted, Leith went on to describe it as “Hippie sh**.”
Elaborating more, she said that because King Charles favors environmental causes, she suspects he takes his tea with something green or environmentally friendly, essentially, “Hippie tea.”
Following this off-the-cuff remark, Kelly Ripa called Dame Prue Leith an “American treasure.”
