Blake Shelton Says He & Gwen Stefani Made Identical Videos
Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani have become so connected since they married that they think alike now. This has even stretched into their business lives. Both singers recently made music videos, and Blake realized something after the fact. He said that the two of them made the exact same thing but didn’t know until they watched them.
Here is what Blake said about the two music videos.
Blake Shelton & Gwen Stefani Made Similar Music Videos
Blake Shelton said that he and Gwen Stefani both have new music coming. He said they released their music on the same day, which was ironic enough. However, he also said that they made identical music videos without realizing they were doing so.
Blake just released his new single, “Texas,” and Gwen’s new album, Bouquet, dropped on November 15. “I’ll tell you something else funny, too — or, it’s not that funny to her,” Shelton said to Jimmy Kimmel on late-night television. He revealed that she made a music video for her song, “Somebody Else’s,” but he hadn’t seen it yet.
“She’s very protective when she’s going through the editing process. She wants you to see the final product,” Blake said. This means he didn’t get a chance to see what she had done before he went and shot his music video for “Texas.”
Blake said he showed Gwen his video, and she was horrified. “She said, ‘Oh my God, that’s my exact same video that I filmed for my song,'” Blake said. “The exact same thing happens in both videos. The exact same thing!”

Gwen Stefani was right. In Blake Shelton’s “Texas” video, he is sitting at a bar trying to find his girlfriend using geolocation. She finally lands in Texas and buries a suitcase and its tracking device on a deserted road.
In Stefani’s video for “Somebody Else’s,” she finds a magical box at the bottom of her closet. She then drives down a highway before she comes to an open field. She buries the trunk in the ground, and it sprouts into a mountain of flowers.
Blake said that the similarities were weird. “There’s this suitcase that needs to be taken out in the country and buried and hidden — which I still don’t even know for sure why,” Blake said. “But it happens in her video that I didn’t know about, and it happens in my video that she didn’t know about.”
Kimmel joked that it sounds like a Hallmark Christmas movie.
