There is a prolific attorney who is suing Sean “Diddy” Combs on behalf of several women who have accused him of sexual assault. This attorney also recently made some interesting quotes about celebrities who attended the Freak-Off parties. He said he sent letters to some of them and told them to pay up or he would sue them too.

This seemed a little strange, and at least one of the celebrities had filed a lawsuit against the attorney for extortion. Here is what you need to know.

Celebrity Sues Attorney For Extortion Concerning Diddy Parties

It is known that many celebrities attended the “Freak-Off” parties of Sean “Diddy” Combs. These parties are at the center of the sex trafficking charges against the former producer. However, none of the celebrities face criminal charges as prosecutors believe they were unaware of Combs’ alleged crimes at the parties.

However, Texas attorney Tony Buzbee said he sent letters to several of the celebrities in attendance. He demanded that they pay up to the women who are suing Diddy. He said if they don’t pay up, he would sue them too and make it all public. This has now resulted in the first lawsuit—but it was filed against Buzbee.

The unnamed plaintiff (described as “a celebrity and public figure who resides in Los Angeles”) sued Buzbee for extortion. The lawsuit reads that Buzbee and his firm are “shamelessly attempting to extort exorbitant sums from him or else publicly file wildly false horrific allegations against him” (via CNN).

Buzbee said he represents at least 120 alleged victims and has filed over a dozen civil lawsuits. He has accused Combs of drugging and sexually assaulting plaintiffs. He also said some of his clients were minors when it happened.

What Is In The Lawsuit By Diddy’s Celebrity Guest?

The celebrity suing Buzbee said the attorney is trying to capitalize on the “explosive allegations against Sean Combs” by going after anyone acquainted with him.

The lawsuit claims that Buzbee sent a demand letter that “threatened to unleash entirely fabricated and salacious allegations of sexual assault.” They said it included “multiple instances of rape of a minor, both male and female.” They then said that Buzbee demanded payoffs to keep silent.

Buzbee responded with a social media post on Instagram claiming he wouldn’t allow ” the powerful and their high-dollar lawyers to intimidate or silence sexual assault survivors.”

The celebrity’s lawsuit praised the women who had spoken out against Diddy and were seeking retribution. However, they claim that Buzbee is just trying to get more money from people for associating with Combs.

Buzbee is the same attorney who represented the 22 female victims who filed sexual misconduct lawsuits against Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson. That case was settled outside of court. He is also representing four people suing singer Chris Brown for assault.
