One New Jersey Family’s Story Is Told In New Series
The new Hallmark+ series features families with special traditions. According to Tap Into Hazlit & Keyport, one of the families, the Powers Family, who is featured is from New Jersey. Their Hazlet, NJ light display started with the matriarch of the family started decorating his family’s home at the age of 10. When he met his wife, Christine, the two bought a house that they decorated. This is something that the couple had in common.
“In recent years, the tradition took on deeper meaning. Both John and Christine faced life-threatening cancer diagnoses but found solace in their shared love for decorating.” Their holiday display “became a symbol of hope and resilience.” This extends to raising money and awareness of the Ronald McDonald House Charities.
Now that they are both cancer-free, John Powers shared, “We are incredibly grateful to Hallmark Plus for the opportunity to share our story and support a cause that’s close to our hearts. Our hope is that our story of resilience and love for Christmas inspires others and helps us make a meaningful difference for other families facing hardships.”
