Will Misty Get Skin Removal Surgery?
Some Redditors discussed whether Misty Wentworth will ever get skin removal surgery. The 1000-lb Sisters star initially turned down the surgery and focused on losing weight. She dropped to 240 lbs and eventually became 166 lbs in one of her most recent appointments with Dr. Smith. According to the poster, they’re curious if she would need skin removal surgery if she had already shed so many pounds. But some doubt that Misty would need it considering what she had already achieved, adding that it would be just “purely cosmetic” in her case. Misty most likely would not meet the criteria for skin removal since she was not hundreds of pounds overweight.
- “I don’t think she would need it in terms of improving quality of life the way Tammy or Chris need it. It would be purely cosmetic in her case, I think.”
- “She only weighed 240 when she had the surgery? I thought if you are that small, they don’t do surgery but encourage you to work out and eat health. FYI, I know 240 isn’t small. I just thought to have wls, you had to weigh way more or have your weigh hinder your lifestyle. At 240, you can still be pretty mobile and work out.”
- “Sorry one more thing, at 240 working out would be immense pressure on the joints. it’s possible yes, but at that point (especially with the family history) surgery is the best option.”
