‘1000-Lb Best Friends’ Vannessa Cross Dishes On The Big Feud
1000-Lb Best Friends Season 3 is on TLC at the moment, but there’s been a rift between the friends. When the season kicked off, Meghan Crumpler and Ashely Sutton made it clear they were no longer speaking to Vannessa Cross.
Onscreen, it seems like they’re starting to patch things up. But what really fueled the split anyway?
In a new interview, Vannessa Cross opened up to share her side of the story. Read on to get the scoop.
Vannessa Cross Explains The Drama With Her Costars
When 1000-Lb Best Friends kicked off this year, many fans felt heartbroken seeing Meghan and Ashely treat Vannessa so poorly. Many fans thought they were jealous of Vannessa’s phenomenal success.
But what does Vannessa Cross think about it?
“It was around six or eight months after I had my surgery when my weight loss got extreme,” Vannessa explained in a new interview with Access Hollywood, acknowledging her friends thought she was being a bit too militant. “I didn’t look at it that way. I looked at it as I was being extremely successful and I wanted to share that with my friends.”
The TLC star went on to explain that she was sharing everything with Meghan and Ashely in hopes they would adopt the healthy habits too. However, that’s not how they perceived her suggestions.
“I may have been a little too rude,” Vannessa continued. “A massive weight loss sometimes makes other people feel funny when they’re big and they don’t see that much in themselves. So the girls just turned their back on me. It wasn’t like they were mean to me. They just wouldn’t answer me, when I reached out they wouldn’t reach back. And then just completely stopped and alienated me.”
The Friends Are Still Working On Their Relationships
The reality star went on to discuss how real and raw the first few episodes of Season 3 actually were. Vannessa admitted she really did become emotional at support group and during the smoothie incident.
“I don’t want to say it was jealousy at all, it was just weird that massive weight loss, and then they just stopped talking to me and didn’t even explain why. I didn’t understand,” she shared.
Vannessa admitted there are probably some things Meghan and Ashely won’t share with her, but they did work through several of their problems. According to the reality star, their friendships are still all “on the mend.”
