Steve Harvey Documentary Like You’ve Never Seen Him Before
In an upcoming documentary special, audiences are about to see a different side to Steve Harvey. In his new project, taking place at a ranch in rural Georgia, he will show a tougher side. However, he’ll also show the importance of endurance.
Between Comedian & Game Show Host, Steve Harvey Has Another Job
For many, Harvey is best known as the host of Family Feud and a few of its spin-offs. Aside from that, he’s also known as a stand-up comedian, the star of his own sitcom The Steve Harvey Show, and even a former Miss Universe host.
However, Harvey will share a new look at himself through Steve Harvey’s Camp: Building Men, Inspiring Dreams – A Dr. Phil’s Merit TV Special. This project will show Harvey serving as a mentor to young, fatherless men.
The special will show Harvey running a weekend mentorship program at his own private ranch in rural Georgia. He will host 250 teens who have grown up without fathers in the hopes of serving as a role model, inspiring them to be good leaders.
As noted by People, Harvey released the following statement: “For over 15 years, we have hosted the camp and provided father figures to thousands of young men.” He noted that this “would not be possible without volunteers who donate their time and partners who support our mission.”
Harvey added, “Through mentorship, these young men have received the tools to propel them both professionally and emotionally.” While the teens were already undergoing physical training, Harvey also noted, “You can already tell everybody’s not pleased with the requirements, but that’s the first thing we start with, is requirement.”
“First thing we teach ’em is discipline. You got to be disciplined. You have to master discipline if you want to be successful.”
The Trailer Hints At A Few Celebrity Guests At The Ranch
Acknowledging that the teens aren’t necessarily used to doing push-ups, Harvey pointed out the important thing was keeping kids active. Harvey still showed his encouraging side to the kids, assuring one kid. “You going to make it,” as he puts his hand on his shoulder.
Harvey could also be seen teaching the kids the importance of perseverance. As he tells them, “Listen, it’s going to be a little tough sometime, but you got it in you. God sent you here. We’re going to take care of you, okay?”
In a trailer released on YouTube, in addition to the life lessons, it’s teased that there will also be a few celebrity guests in the special. Steve Harvey’s Camp: Building Men, Inspiring Dreams is expected for release on December 10, 2024.
