Jacqueline MacInnes Wood Shares Intense Twists With Hope Soon

Audiences were shocked to see Steffy fire Hope on The Bold and the Beautiful. Actress Jacqueline MacInnes Wood has recently discussed what she thought was going through her character’s mind at the time. The actress also promised the show would see some “intense twists.”

The Actress Gave A Peek Inside Her Character’s Mind

As seen on the show, Steffy changed into lingerie hoping to meet Carter in the design office. However, she encountered Finn instead. This caused her to trip and fall onto him. Steffy then walked in at the wrong time and assumed the worst, thinking Hope was after her husband again.

Jacqueline MacInnes Wood has played Steffy since 2008. Notably, she was the first actress to play the character as an adult after she had been aged up.

In an interview with Soap Opera Digest, Wood gave some insight into what she thought was going inside Steffy’s head during the story. As she shared, “She was already convinced that Hope was manipulating everyone to keep Hope For The Future line and that Hope was after Finn.”

As Wood continued, “This was just it for her. What she saw was unexpected but it was the straw.” Wood then summed it up, saying, “Steffy is done.”

Wood was then asked if she felt that Steffy was justified in her decision. The actress shared, “Absolutely. The woman needed to be fired and held accountable for her many actions – this was divine timing.”

Jacqueline MacInnes Wood Also Hinted At What’s To Come

In spite of Steffy’s anger at the moment, the publication also mused that she had an excuse to fire Hope and look like she’s in the right. Even her father Ridge supported her. When asked about this, Wood noted that Steffy was probably “so happy to get rid of Hope. It was great to see Ridge back her up on this decision. He also has to hold her accountable.”

“There’s no place for backstabbing and manipulating anymore. Steffy is clear that Hope will take advantage, just like Brooke did and does.”

It was also noted that Wood has said in the past that she likes it when Steffy finds herself in a predicament. The publication then asked Wood if she would like to see Steffy’s actions backfire. As she shared, I do! It’s wonderful when Steffy is in normal CEO, mom, and wife mode, which is totally possible in real life. But I’m always grateful to Brad Bell when he writes strong Steffy. Steffy with a purpose. Steffy in a predicament.”

Wood also hinted that there could be more surprises to come concerning her character. As she shared, “All I can say is it will get more intense, more fabulous and the twists will blow Steffy – and hopefully the audience – away.”
