‘Live’ Kelly Ripa Puts Hubby Mark In Dog House On Air
As much as Live fans love seeing the marital dynamic between Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos on the air, every once in a while, the line between work and home blurs. Recently, Kelly put Mark in the dog house in front of the studio audience. So, what happened with this situation?
Live Fans Love Seeing The Dynamic Between Kelly Ripa And Mark Consuelos
When you have co-anchors who are also husband and wife, this creates a special dynamic that most viewers don’t often see on daytime talk shows. Even though the Today crew and the Good Morning America crew all have their cliques and quirks, it’s completely different on the Live set.
Not only do Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos host the talk show as co-anchors, but, when the work day is over, they go home together and resume their lives as husband and wife. This creates a unique dynamic that viewers love, and many agree that it gives them an edge that other shows do not have.
Lines Often Blur For Mark And Kelly
Because Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos are both co-workers and married to each other, every once in a while, the line between work and married life blurs. This is exactly what happened recently on the air, during a segment of “Stump Mark.”
This time around, Mark had the edge, and he beat the person who called in. However, this drew an overwhelming series of boos from the audience, as many love it when Mark is genuinely stumped. Based on what happened next, Kelly Ripa upped the ante even more after Mark’s win.
Of course, Ripa and Consuelos have always been very open about their love life. Even all these years later, they still can’t keep their hands off of each other. However, following this recent win from Mark, Ripa was not going to let him get out of this one so easily.
Live: Kelly Ripa Puts Mark Consuelos In The Dog House
With the entire studio audience booing Mark Consuelos and letting him have it, Kelly Ripa let him know that the consequences of his recent win would have consequences beyond the show. According to Kelly, those consequences would extend to the home and after hours, too.
Kelly Ripa said: “That’s right, that’s right, boo him, audience! Janet, just so you know, Mark’s not going to get lucky tonight!”
So even though Mark won at work, he technically lost at home. This is the dynamic that viewers love to see, and it was on full display yet again in recent Live scenes.
