Emily Maynard Reveals Epic Fail On Son’s Birthday
Bachelorette Emily Maynard Johnson went to Instagram Stories to share an epic fail on her son’s 7th birthday. She, Tyler and the rest of the family were celebrating Gatlin turning seven. While the rest of the day may have been great, when it came time for the cake or cookie cake as Gatlin had, it was not what they expected.
The cookie cake had “Happy Birthday Gatlin” written across it, with gummy bears outlining the word “Happy.” The frosting on the rim of the cake was lined with more gummy bears and it also had M&Ms sprinkled across the surface.
Emily herself wrote Happy 7th Birthday Gatlin! above the photo of the cookie cake. She also wrote, “My children did not decorate this. I actually paid $60 for an adult to make this 🙃.”
Emily made the best of the situation and also joked about it scarring Gatlin. She said, “Hoping he never sees pictures of this cake when he gets older and has a distorted view of his childhood 💀.”
Along with the photo of the cookie cake gone terribly wrong, she shared a family photo from the Japanese restaurant they had dinner at.

She went on to eventually find love with Tyler Johnson and the two welcomed five more children together. Emily’s youngest child, Jones, has Down’s Syndrome.
Recently, Emily took time on Instagram to honor her late fiance Ricky Hendrick. It was the 20-year anniversary of his untimely death. She noted in her post that it was the day her life changed forever.
She said, “I look at pictures and don’t even recognize that girl anymore, no matter how much I wish I could. In one hand I feel like I’ve changed so much and then in the other, that I’ve been paralyzed at age 18 forever.”
Emily has now found happiness and loves being a wife and mother.
