‘1000-Lb Sisters’ Amy Slaton Goes Back To School
On this season of 1000-Lb Sisters, Amy Slaton is trying to find herself again after her divorce. Fans have seen her try new things and embrace new hobbies. But what will happen when she heads back to the classroom?
Over the past few episodes, Amy and Amanda have spent a lot of quality time together. With their aggressive history toward each other, fans are excited to see the sisters getting along.

Amy Slaton Wants To Expand Her Horizons & Learn Something New
When 1000-Lb Sisters returns tonight, fans will get a chance to see Amanda and Amy bonding in cooking class. Earlier in the season, Amy boasted about her cooking abilities with her shrimp alfredo with white chocolate chips. Viewers felt shocked and appalled, but everyone who tried it seemed to enjoy it.
So how will she handle a steak?
In a new teaser for 1000-Lb Sisters, Amanda and Amy are working on their steaks. But Amanda notices her younger sister isn’t exactly following the teacher’s instructions. As always, Amy wants to do things her own way.
“It looks great, it smells great, but smells and looks can be deceiving,” Amanda laughs in the episode.
But after taking a bite, Amy decides her creation was an overwhelming success.
“Oh my damn,” Amy declares after trying her steak. She even asks the teacher to take a bite.
“The steak is a little on the tart side and a little heavy on the salt, but I think that it’s somewhat palatable,” the chef admitted in her own confessional.
The TLC Star Feels Confident In Her Newfound Abilities
Back in the classroom, Amy excitedly discusses their grandmother and how proud she would be of the steak. Amanda adds that their grandmother would be so proud that they’re trying something new.
“After this cooking class, I’m feeling more confident just showing the teacher that you don’t have to use the normal s*** to make it delicious,” Amy Slaton proudly tells cameras in a confessional. “Since the divorce and everything, I’ve been trying to find who Amy is, but I’m actually finding out more in a way. I’ve got more potential now. I didn’t think I could cook, you know, I didn’t think I could have that skill set. But now it’s like, wait, I can do that.”
